September 2026

September is National Recovery Month

National Recovery Month is a time to raise awareness about mental health and substance use disorders, celebrate the journey of recovery, and recognize the strength of those who are taking steps towards healthy and  fulfilling life.

Recovery Month reminds us of two important messages:

  • Treatment works.
  • People can and do recover.

To support our Flight Attendant community, we’re sharing two videos created specifically for Flight Attendants—one focused on mental health and the other on substance use disorders. We hope these resources help increase awareness, reduce stigma, and remind those who may be struggling that help and support are available.

If you or a family member is struggling, you don’t have to face it alone. Call the Flight Attendant Drug and Alcohol Program (FADAP) confidential helpline at 1-855-33FADAP (1-855-333-2327) to connect with a trained FADAP peer from your airline.

Recovery is possible. Help is available. You are not alone.
